Bill has been an active member of the American Institute of Architects for the past 39 years and has served as the organization’s local, state and national president. Recently, he became a trustee of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and was appointed to the Pennsylvania State Architects Licensure Board. At the May 13th Board meeting, William J. Bates, FAIA, NOMA, was appointed as chair of the Presbyterian SeniorCare Board of Directors. The board provides oversight and governance for the organization and its affiliates, and has 14 active members and five emeritus directors.
